End-of-the-Year Global History & Geography Review Project

to accompany our Review Book

As Mrs. Cullen explained in class, each of you will seek out other students to form a team. This team will be responsible for creating one of the 25 review pages contained in this wikispace. In order to complete this project successfully and tastefully, you will need to follow a few basic rules:

1. Choose your team. Each page has a specific number of people that are allowed to work on it. No more, no less. The number after the page link on the left indicates how many people can be in that group.
FIRST COME - FIRST SERVED - You can email me at cyantz@hhh.k12.ny.us OR hand me a piece of paper with your
group members' names and your topic requests. I suggest giving me 3 choices in case someone beats you to it. I will date and time stamp each request in order to make the assignments. DUE DATE: March 30th

2. Decide on a group leader and the responsibilities of each member. Submit a piece of paper with your group plan to
Mrs.Cullen by April 3rd.

3. It might be wise to do your part of the project in a Word document first. Later you can copy and paste into the wiki and
then work on the aesthetics in the wiki.

4. Use the HELP function above for advice on how to do things.

5. Information and aesthetics (how it looks) are important. For instance, use of color, pictures and larger font help students study.DO NOT WRITE IN PARAGRAPH FORM - CREATE TITLES AND BULLETS.

6. All pages should be arranged in chronological order - events should flow from beginning to end.

7. All pages should have: titles, maps, political cartoons, pictures/images of events and people

8. Youtube or other videos are fine as long as you embed them JUDICIOUSLY. This means use good judgment when putting videos on the wiki. The videos are supposed to add to our understanding.

9. DO NOT MESS WITH ANYONE ELSE'S WIKI. PLAYING PRANKS ON OTHER MEMBERS OR INTENTIONALLY CHANGING THEIR PAGE WILL RESULT IN A ZERO FOR YOUR GROUP (and yes, you can see who did what to whom on the master page).

10. If you want to check out some other wikis that my students have worked on go to:

or

There are strengths and weaknesses in all of them
